Argentina's star Lionel Messi's father Jorge Messi denies all the rumours that linked the seven-time Ballon D’Or winner to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

On Tuesday, French media reported that Messi's move to Saudi Arabia was a "done deal", adding that the 35-year-old was in the process of finalising details before signing a contract.

It was reported that Messi would sign a "£552 million” deal to join the same league as Cristiano Ronaldo, who signed for Al Nassr in January.

However, Messi’s father took this matter to his Instagram where he denied all such rumours saying that nothing would be agreed with anyone before the end of the season.

"There is no agreement with any club for the following season. The decision will never be made before Leo finishes the season with PSG," said Jorge.

Jorge also said that he finds it disrespectful that some media outlets are continuously misleading people by spreading fake news.

"I find it disrespectful that certain media outlets knowingly mislead without providing any proof or assertion. Wanting to transform anything into news, or to sharing news in favour of someone's interests,” he added.

"Once the season is over then it will be time to analyse everything. There are always rumours and many use Leo's name to gain relevance. But the reality is that there is no agreement with any club. Neither verbal, nor anything signed," he concluded.

Messi, who was recently suspended by the French club Paris Saint German (PSG) over his trip to Saudia, returned to training after apologizing to his team-mates in an Instagram video.

Earlier, Messi´s future at PSG was plunged into doubt on Wednesday after he was suspended for travelling to Saudi Arabia without the club´s permission.

“Messi, 35, asked if he would be allowed to travel to the Arab gulf to honour his sponsorship deal as a Saudi ambassador, and Galtier and sporting director Luis Campos gave him the green light to go in the result of a win or draw, but not a defeat,” ESPN stated.

“However, following PSG's humbling 3-1 defeat to Lorient — their third loss in their past four league games — Messi flew to Saudi Arabia without asking again for permission, sources told ESPN.
